Just in time for berry season, we'll explore the methods of freezing, dehydration, fermentation, jams, jellies, and syrup. Come home with a jar of jam and a jar of jelly.

About the event
We will start with a short review of food safety and then dive into the intricacies of fruit selection and preparation, sweeteners, pectin, equipment and water bath canning methods. With recipes in hand, we will head to the kitchen where participants will work together to make batches of a seasonal jelly and jam. Once our jars are out of the water bath canner, and while they cool, we will have Q&A and nosh and sip on various fruity snacks. Each participant will take home two 8 oz jars, one of jelly and one of jam.
